2025 Methane Detection Recap: Scaling Customer-Led Innovation

Bridger Social Blog #1 What Is Actionable Emissions Data Option #1 (1)

In 2025, Bridger Photonics expanded its global methane detection capabilities, delivering emissions intelligence across LDAR programs, offshore assets, LNG facilities, and OGMP 2.0 reporting. Our team advanced with a clear, unifying focus: adapt to meet our customers where they are.

That meant listening first, and evolving our technology, leadership, and global footprint in direct response to how operators actually work. From in-depth conversations at our first client summit, to new products built for offshore, snow, LNG, and global reporting frameworks, every milestone this year reflected a customer-led approach to emissions intelligence.

Below is a streamlined recap of what defined 2025, and why it matters heading into 2026.

Listening More Closely: From Conversations to Direction

Hosting our first Methane Trailblazers Summit brought operators together for candid, in-depth conversations. Operators made it clear that methane management is not a temporary compliance exercise, instead it’s a long-term operational commitment. While regulations continue to evolve, the fundamentals remain constant: use the most effective emissions detection technologies available to keep gas in the pipes while improving safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Summit discussions reinforced that while emissions reconciliation and inventory methodologies are still maturing, momentum is growing toward transparent, data-driven approaches. Just as importantly, a cultural shift is underway. Methane management is increasingly embedded into organizational mindsets, much like safety became decades ago. These insights directly inform Bridger’s solutions roadmap for the coming year.

Adapting Technology to Real-World Operating Conditions

In 2025, Bridger expanded and refined its technology to reflect where and how operators need data, even in the most difficult environments, including offshore platforms. The launch of GML for Offshore extended high-resolution, quantitative methane detection to some of the industry’s most complex assets, reducing safety exposure while improving coverage and data quality.

At the same time, new sector-specific data products addressed challenges across snow-covered regions, LNG export facilities, and large-scale infrastructure. The introduction of the Bridger Data Connector further removed friction by delivering emissions data faster and directly into customer systems, supporting quicker decisions and more efficient repairs. Together, these advancements reinforced a simple idea: flexibility and scalability are essential to make emissions reduction simple.

Scaling with Purpose: Leadership and Global Growth

Following another year of record growth, Bridger strengthened its leadership team to support continued scale. Ben Little joined as CEO, bringing deep experience scaling data and platform-driven organizations, while founder Pete Roos transitioned to Chief Innovation Officer to focus on technology leadership and industry engagement.

Bridger also expanded internationally, including active scanning in Argentina and continued growth across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. This momentum was underscored by Bridger’s feature on the cover of The Australian Pipeliner, highlighting the growing role of advanced methane detection in pipeline integrity and emissions management worldwide. To support this expansion, Catlan McCurdy was appointed Chief Legal Officer, strengthening Bridger’s ability to operate consistently across diverse regulatory environments.

Meeting Operators Face-to-Face, Around the World

In 2025, Bridger was present with operators to connect and understand their challenges at conferences, summits, and industry events across North America, as well as LATAM, the Middle East, Europe, Australia, and beyond. These engagements were about listening to regional realities, regulatory pressures, and operational constraints that can vary dramatically across the globe.

Those conversations continue to shape how Bridger deploys methane detection technology and delivers emissions intelligence, supporting compliance and voluntary frameworks like OGMP 2.0 Levels 4 and 5, and helps operators turn emissions data into actionable insight.

The Theme: Customer-Led Innovation

Across every milestone in 2025, one theme connects the dots: Bridger builds alongside its customers. Whether helping operators progress toward OGMP 2.0 Gold Standard, expanding into new geographies, or adapting proven technology for new environments, Bridger’s approach is grounded in real operational needs.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As methane regulations, reporting expectations, and market scrutiny continue to evolve, Bridger enters 2026 focused on listening, adapting, and delivering emissions intelligence that works in the real world: across all assets, all locations, and all seasons.

With expanded global operations, a strengthened leadership team, and a growing portfolio of flexible, high-impact emissions intelligence tools, Bridger is positioned to help operators move beyond compliance, towards durable, data-driven methane reduction that delivers lasting operational value.
