International Women's Day 2024 at Bridger Photonics
As our company grows, so does the number of women who fill essential roles at Bridger Photonics. From flight planning and LiDAR data analysis, to operations management, accounting, data science, and beyond, women fill diverse roles in our effort to make emissions reduction simple. We sat down with several ladies in our company to learn more. Read what they had to say:
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Bridger Photonics?
There are many enjoyable things about working at Bridger Photonics, but the thing I enjoy the most is the workplace environment! Bridger has done a wonderful job creating a welcoming and friendly environment in the office. I have worked at Bridger Photonics for over a year now and I have only met amazing, kind people. There is never a bad day. Even when the work gets tough, the people around me always manage to make me laugh and relieve any stress. Bridger Photonics is also great at being inclusive and making their employees feel appreciated. I especially feel appreciated and empowered every day by my supervisor Elizabeth Rehbein! She inspires me to take on tough roles and do things out of my comfort zone in order to keep growing personally and professionally. One day, I hope to lead a team and be a supportive mentor for others as she is for me. I wake up every day excited to go to work and make a difference and that is all thanks to Bridger Photonics. Q: What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
I’m most passionate about working with our clients who are making a substantial impact on the world by understanding and implementing emission reductions. I’m privileged to play a small part in this by enabling clients with a comprehensive look at their methane emissions. Additionally, I love working with the team at Bridger, my colleagues are incredibly skilled at what they do, always willing to help, and very fun to work with! - Kerry Neal, Sr. Accounts Manager
Q: What inspires you to do your best work?
I am motivated by the tangible impact the tangible impact of Bridger’s work. It is inspiring to collaborate with this amazing team towards such a meaningful and important mission. - Kristina Michaud, Executive Assistant
Q: What skills have you developed since joining Bridger Photonics?
Since coming to Bridger Photonics in May 2023, I have learned how to use custom software to detect and quantify difficult methane emission sources on oil and gas sites over a variety of facilities across North America. Q: Can you share a career goal or aspiration you're currently working towards?
My aspiration is to develop and implement a meaningful, collaborative, and effective learning and development program at Bridger Photonics to unify our company knowledge base while keeping pace with the ever-changing technology landscape. At the heart of it all is for our employees to feel valued, informed, and connected to our critically important company mission of reducing methane emissions by providing accurate and actionable data to our clients. - Elizabeth Desser, Training Coordinator
Q: What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Embrace feedback was life-changing advice from a friend and mentor. Feedback always provides a tremendous opportunity to learn and can accelerate both professional and personal growth. I try to actively seek out feedback, be open to all perspectives, and listen with grace. The community of women and the entire team at Bridger Photonics truly support one another.
