Oklahoma Gas Gathering Cuts Product Loss and Enhances Safety with Gas Mapping LiDAR™

Industry

Midstream Gas Gathering

Challenge

Oklahoma Gas Gathering LLC (OGG) needed a more efficient, higher-visibility emissions detection workflow across its Anadarko Basin midstream infrastructure. The company sought to reduce product loss, enhance crew and community safety, and build a proactive emissions-management strategy across remote and legacy assets.

Result

Bridger Photonics delivered aerial methane imagery and high-resolution mapping to OGG’s network, enabling faster decision-making, improved leak localisation, and more targeted use of limited field resources.

Key Product

Gas Mapping LiDAR

Recurring Scans: Ongoing aerial monitoring of transmission networks
Leak Detection Coverage: Finds both major and minor emissions sources
Improved Targeting: Directs crews precisely where attention is needed
Operational Uplift: Enhances safety and reduces product loss

Efficiency in our operations means smarter work, safer systems, and lower emissions. Bridger gives us the data we need to detect leaks sooner, especially across remote areas and older parts of the system. With Bridger’s plume imagery and aerial visuals, we can focus our team’s time where it matters most, reduce product loss, and enhance safety for our crews and communities.

About Oklahoma Gas Gathering

Oklahoma Gas Gathering LLC is an operator in the U.S. midstream sector, focused on gathering and processing natural gas across the Anadarko Basin. The company emphasises operational excellence, safety and emissions-management innovation as part of its commitment to minimizing methane intensity in infrastructure and gathering operations.

The Challenge

OGG manages a wide and complex gathering and transmission network, including remote and older infrastructure that is difficult to monitor with traditional inspection methods. Smaller or obstructed leaks often went undetected, and the team needed better ways to prioritize limited crew resources. To advance a proactive emissions-management strategy, OGG required clearer visibility across its system and more efficient ways to discover and address leaks.

The Solution

Bridger Photonics’ Gas Mapping LiDAR provided high-resolution aerial plume imagery paired with recurring scans of OGG’s transmission network. These flights detected both major and minor leaks (many that traditional methods missed) and delivered precise location data down to the source. Combined with high-resolution visuals, OGG gained actionable insights that helped focus field efforts where they mattered most.

The Results

  • Improved visibility across the entire network
  • Faster identification of leak locations
  • Better use of crew time and fewer unnecessary site visits
  • Reduced product loss and strengthened safety
  • A proactive emissions-management approach built on recurring aerial data
